
Summer Music
Summer Music at Rivers is a two-week summer program for students of any wind, string, or brass instruments, and piano. Emphasis is on community, and all students are placed in a chamber ensemble with students of similar ability.
Junior Summer Music
Junior Summer Music is geared toward 6 to 10-year-old string and piano students in Suzuki Books I and II. This two-week session will include performance classes, group classes, and private lessons with RSC faculty members.
Summer Jazz & Contemporary Music
Summer Jazz & Contemporary Music at Rivers is a two-week immersion into jazz studies for students entering grades 3-12; however, younger students may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Both students new to jazz/improvisation and more experienced players are welcome.
Advanced Summer Jazz Ensembles
High school jazz musicians are invited to join an advanced evening ensemble this summer. Rehearsals will take place twice per week over the course of each session. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a master class with a guest professor/artist. Each session will culminate with a final outdoor concert.
Summer Orchestra
Summer Orchestra at Rivers is a week-long morning program for talented young string players. There are multiple orchestra levels to accommodate beginner through advanced students. Each day includes rehearsals, sectionals, and a break with refreshments.
Summer Percussion Workshop
This week long seminar is a perfect opportunity for percussion students to refine their playing skills through a combination of classes and private instruction. There will be daily master classes, mallet ensemble, percussion ensemble, drum circle on hand percussion, performance class and a final concert.
