Violin, Chamber Music
Violinist Marla Rubinson performs with numerous orchestras in the New England area including the Portland Symphony and Boston Classical Orchestra, has served as interim concertmaster and assistant concertmaster of the Plymouth Philharmonic, and as principal second violin of the Simon Sinfonietta. She is a member of Dynamic Strings and a former member of the Cantabile Quartet among others.
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Boston University; principal teachers include Peter Zazofsky, Bayla Keyes, Luci Lin and Roger Shermont. In addition to appearing as a clinician and adjudicator in numerous states around the U.S., Ms. Rubinson has taught for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras for many years, is a faculty member of the Lexington Music School and maintains a private studio.
