Assistant Conductor, Rivers Youth Wind Ensemble
An avid performer, music educator, and administrator, Andy Chau is a student affairs professional at Berklee College of Music/Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Chau also teaches at the Josiah Quincy Orchestra Program as Director/Conductor of one of their orchestras. Chau is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree from Northeastern University and earned his Master of Music in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory and Bachelor of Music in Music Education & Clarinet Performance from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
Previously, Chau was Manager of the Rivers Conservatory Youth Wind Ensemble and Director of the Durfee High School Symphony and Elementary Strings Specialist of the Fall River Public Schools. As a performer, Chau is both an accomplished clarinetist and violinist. He has conducted and performed with the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, Rivers Symphony Orchestra, AAYSO, Concert for Hope Orchestra, and the Fall River Symphony Orchestra.
