It’s going to be a busy year for Bill Jones. Between playing more than 100 gigs a year around Boston’s best jazz venues, the Rivers School Conservatory Jazz Saxophone instructor will be filling in for RSC Jazz Director Philippe Crettien when he goes on sabbatical in the spring of 2020.
There were both nerves and excitement among The Rivers School Conservatory’s youngest students at their recital on January 26. It’s one of two recitals they will have during the year.
The long weekly drive from Duxbury to Weston is worth it for 13 year old sisters Rachael and Chloe Pratt. The twins were selected to perform J.S. Bach Double Violin Concerto in D minor, I. Vivace. on marimba in the Young Artist Concert at The Rivers School Conservatory’s Rivera Recital Hall on February 3.
The Conservatory Program at The Rivers School allows high school students to walk over to RSC after school for more advanced music classes and groups.
