Founded in 2008, The Chopin Symposium is a weekend-long affair with the life and art of Fryderyk Chopin. The unbridled originality of Chopin’s compositions became a milestone for composers of future generations, and has not ceased to move and inspire listeners and performers through the decades. In celebration of Chopin’s art, The Rivers School Conservatory will host world-class performers such as pianist Sergei Babayan, pianist Andrew Tyson, mezzo-soprano Victoria Avetisyan, and eminent Chopin scholars Jonathan Bellman and Zofia Chechlinska. They will provide extraordinary listening and learning opportunities through concerts and lectures in an event not to be missed!
