|  | Admission: The Rivers School Conservatory believes that matching each student with the right teacher is vital to a student’s progress and enjoyment of music. New students and their parent(s) meet with the appropriate department chair for a brief interview to facilitate placement, and to discuss program requirements and scheduling. There is a $30 evaluation and placement fee for all new students. Call the Conservatory to arrange a placement interview.
Registration: RSC operates on a fall and spring semester schedule with each semester being 16 weeks long. Returning students can register in person or by telephone, and a registration form will be mailed to the family. New students are usually registered following their placement interview.Registrations and deposits are due back within 2 weeks of the date the registration is issued. Payment for each semester is expected in full by the beginning of each semester.
Financial Aid: The Rivers School Conservatory is committed to making music education available to as many students as possible. Financial aid is based on financial need and availability of funds. Please call the office for a financial aid application.
Make-up Lessons: Students are allowed one make-up lesson for an excused absence per semester. Lessons missed due to teacher absence, school closing due to inclement weather or legal holidays will also be made up. Student absences from ensembles or classes are not made up.
