Rivers Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition
Open to students enrolled in the Rivers Youth Symphony program only. Two winners will be chosen to perform with the Youth Symphony (full orchestra accompaniment) or Philharmonia (string orchestra accompaniment only). Students are required to play one movement of a concerto of their choice from memory. All contestants must have their concerto approved by RYO conductor Christopher Memoli before entering the competition.

The Rivers Symphony Concerto Competition
Open to all students taking private lessons at The Rivers School Conservatory. Students are required to play one movement of a concerto of their choice from memory. All contestants must have their concerto approved by the RSO conductor before entering the competition. Up to two winners will be selected each year.

The A. Ramón Rivera Piano Competition
The A. Ramón Rivera Piano Competition was founded in 1990 to honor Mr. Rivera as an extraordinary and inspirational teacher. The competition reflects his uncompromisingly high standards for artistry in music and beauty of sound and is intended to encourage young pianists to continue their search for excellence.

The Richter String Competition
The Richter String Competition is sponsored by the Magdalena Richter Fund and was created to honor the legacy of extraordinary teaching and leadership by Magdalena Richter, the chair of the RSC string department and violin teacher at RSC for many years.
